Home Start
Home Start promotes the safety and nurturance of children by fostering healthy families and communities. This is Home Start's 40th Anniversary and last year they served over 39,000 low income individuals and children. Their programs include; Family Self-Sufficiency Services, Therapeutic Counseling for Children and Families which offers evidenced-based psychotherapy to child victims of abuse and neglect, Financial Literacy Training, including free tax filing assistance and Earned Income Tax Credit Services, Health Care Access, consisting of outreach and enrollment to connect families with uninsured children to medical service providers through Healthy Family and MediCal plans and the Maternity Shelter Program providing housing and support services to homeless, at-risk women and their children. We will be collecting items for Home Start throughout the year for their Maternity Shelter Program. Click here for their wish list. Please feel free to bring items to the monthly meetings.

Thank you for your interest in the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association (SDLSA), and welcome to our website! We are a local association of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated; we are here to support legal secretaries and all people employed in the courts and other institutions directly engaged in legal work throughout San Diego County. We provide educational and networking opportunities so our members can keep up with the increasing demands of the legal profession. Our mission is to increase the competence of legal secretaries who value ethics, professionalism and continuing legal education. We invite you to contact us with any questions, and hope that you will join SDLSA.
