LPI Logo Update and Branding Guidelines
Dear Local Association Presidents,
As we move into the next chapter of LPI’s history, it is time to transition from the anniversary logo back to the official Legal Professionals Incorporated brand identity. Thank you to everyone who embraced the anniversary branding and helped celebrate this remarkable ninety-year milestone.
As Legal Professionals Incorporated moves forward, we are excited to introduce a refreshed version of the standard logo that honors our history while providing a cleaner, more contemporary look for the future. This design refresh reflects the organization’s continued growth while respecting its heritage.
Maintaining consistent branding helps us:
- Strengthen recognition of Legal Professionals Incorporated.
- Present a unified, professional image to members, prospective members, sponsors, and the legal community.
- Build confidence and reinforce the value of Legal Professionals Incorporated.
- Ensure all local associations and committees represent LPI with a consistent, recognizable identity.
Brand Guidelines
Please begin updating materials to reflect the revised branding. Below are two versions of the updated LPI logo available for download.
The first is the primary logo and should be used in most applications. The second includes a subtle halo outline designed specifically for use on dark-colored backgrounds where additional contrast is needed.

Both logo files are provided as transparent PNG images. Because the background is transparent, they will blend seamlessly with your project’s background without a white box. Depending on your computer or image viewer, the transparent background may appear black or another solid color when viewed outside of a design program. This is normal, and the logo will display correctly once it is placed in your document, presentation, or graphic.
Beginning immediately, these are the only official LPI logos that should be used. Please retire and delete older versions of the LPI logo from your files to help ensure consistent branding across the organization.

Logo Usage Guidelines
When using the LPI logo, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- Use only the official logo files provided.
- Do not stretch, compress, rotate, recolor, recreate, or otherwise alter the logo or its typography.
- Maintain adequate clear space around the logo. Other logos, text, or graphic elements should never overlap or encroach upon the logo.
- When displayed with other logos, the LPI logo should always be the most prominent. LPI educational program logos should generally appear 15–20% smaller than the primary LPI logo.
- The LPI logo represents the organization as a whole and should not be displayed in conjunction with logos, graphics, or messaging that endorse or promote political parties, political campaigns, candidates for public office, religious organizations, or religious advocacy. This helps preserve LPI’s nonpartisan and inclusive identity.
- If you use AI-assisted design tools, carefully verify that the software has not modified the logo artwork, colors, proportions, or fonts.
Updating Existing Materials
As you create new materials or update existing ones, please replace the anniversary logo (and any retired versions of the LPI logo) on items such as:
- Local association websites
- Social media profile images and banners
- Email signatures
- Newsletters
- Flyers and event promotions
- Programs and agendas
- Presentation templates
- Letterhead, forms, and certificates
- Membership materials
- Banners, signage, and promotional items
Please also take this opportunity to review any existing templates or design files that may be reused, particularly Canva designs, presentation templates, newsletters, and flyer layouts. These files often contain older versions of the LPI logo that can easily be overlooked when updating materials. Beginning with the new logo files rather than modifying older graphics will help ensure consistency and prevent outdated branding from reappearing.
No expectation existing printed inventory will be discarded. Please continue using current printed materials until supplies are exhausted, and transition to the updated logo as items are reordered or reprinted.
